What Martial Art do you teach?

Since no one art has it all we teach Bruce Lee's Concepts and Philosophies called Jeet Kune Do which includes techniques and strategies from Boxing, Wing Chun, Savate, Muay Thai, Tai Chi, and Fencing. We also utilize grappling arts such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and Judo. In addition to that we teach other less known arts such as Kali, Dumog, Panantukan, Pananjakman, and Kino Mutai.

Do you offer a FREE trial?

Yes! We offer a two week FREE trial. It's the best way for you to determine if our club is right for you. No need to schedule an appointment. Just show up in workout clothes and an open mind.

Do you have a class for beginners?

No experience is necessary. In every class we have instructors that can orientate you to the material. Our curriculum is designed so that anyone can jump in at any time.

Does Texas Jeet Kune Do teach reality based self defense?

We teach the same systems taught to Navy Seals, CIA, DEA, DOD, FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security, US Marshals, various Special Operation Groups and Over 50 Police Departments. Our programs will help develop Killer Instinct and Emotional Control through Stress Inoculation Training. We will put you through scenarios that will include street fights, muggings, carjackings, home break-ins, and terrorist attacks.

Do you include weapons training?

We work with edged weapons (knife, machete, ect.), blunt weapons (stick, bat, ect.), improvised weapons (broken bottle, chairs) and even firearms.

How do I know which class to take?

That is the best part, most martial arts schools that teach multiple arts and systems divide them up making it difficult and forcing you to do several classes just to become well rounded. At Texas Jeet Kune Do we include all the above material into one class. The class is offered several times a week and no two classes are the same. We combine all our training together to create the most complete training system on the market today.

Does Texas Jeet Kune Do compete in any competitions?

Our students compete (and have won Gold) in a variety of things including - Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Submission Grappling, as well as Traditional Martial Arts Tournaments.

What if I am only interested in realistic self defense and have no interest in competing?

Many people who get into street fights or attack people have no skill or formal training and this is what most self defense programs are based around. We heavily cover this type of situation however the fight game has evolved. Even untrained people are imitating what they see on TV. The popularity of MMA and UFC has sparked an increase of Fighters who do not all have the same respect of values once held by martial artist. Along with that Boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, and MMA are popular past time for prison inmates so the chances of running into someone who knows basic MMA skills is rising. We want to prepare you to survive all encounters including being attacked by a skilled opponent. You dont need to be a Jiu-Jitsu master but you must understand the ground fighting game enough to survive, you don't have to be a boxing champ either but you must know how to deal with punches.
